12 Months of Giving

Giving Back

Maine Foodie Tours is immersed in our state’s celebrated culinary culture. Maine’s food scene is all about innovation and authenticity, sharing and abundance. But, we’re all too aware that for 80,000 Maine kids experiencing hunger, food insecurity is an every day struggle. Which is why we, like may of the businesses who are part of our tours, choose Full Plates Full Potential as our charitable partner in 2020. Full Plates is a Maine-based non-profit with a mission to end child hunger in Maine. As part of their FEED KIDS initiative, Maine Foodie Tours donates $1 for every food tour ticket sold to affect change for kids in our own backyard. To learn how you can help visit fullplates.org.

Since 2017, Maine Foodie Tours has organized a 12 Months of Giving campaign. The positive impact the non-profit organizations make on our communities is significant. This is our way of supporting the important work they do with $1 from every ticket furthering their missions, and we couldn’t do it without you, our valued tour guests! We invite you to learn more about these worthy organizations and keep in mind that many are always looking to recruit new volunteers! Here’s a list of charity organizations we’ve worked with and support. Thank you very much.

Full Plates Full Potential www.fullplates.org We see a future where kids have access to the healthy food they need, every day. Kids will get a healthy breakfast every day at school so they’re ready to learn, and they won’t have to worry about how they’re going to eat when school is out for the summer when the safety net of school meals isn’t available to them. Rather than feeling the stress of food insecurity, kids will just be able to be, well, kids. We know it’s possible. Will you help us make ending child hunger in Maine a reality?
