Calling all pizza lovers near and far! Everyone knows that pizza is one of the most beloved foods on earth but did you know that Portland is home to two of the best pizzas in the entire United States? DailyMeal.com named the 101 Best Pizzas in America and Miccuci’s (#90) and Slab (#86) made the list! Join us as we indulge in just about everyone’s favorite food and learn a bit about Portland’s history and ever-growing food scene.

Portland’s east end was home to a large influx of Italians in the mid 1800’s settling in the Munjoy Hill area, home to one of the town’s most iconic suppliers of pizza to this day, We will gather for your 1.5 hour walk on top of historic Munjoy Hill and enjoy the East End while discovering some of Portland’s finest slices of pizza on this delicious and satisfying walk. You’ll taste the differences as we serve up 2 local varieties of pizza, from sourdough, wood-fired, thin crust to Sicilian style, all deliciously. filling with a variety of toppings.

This will all be served along with a local craft brew and a cannoli or gelato for dessert assuring you of no hunger pains for quite some time. In route, your guide will fill you in on Portland’s amazing food scene and some of the growing hot spots nearby; new restaurants, brewers, roasters, smokers, bakers, cheesemongers and more in this exciting part of town.

Q: Is this tour handicap accessible?
A: Due to Portland’s dedication to historic preservation this tour is not fully handicap accessible for wheelchairs or walkers.

Q: Where should I park?
A: We recommend a parking garage or lot. The least expensive parking is approx. a 10-15 minute walk from the meeting point for this tour. The closest garage is the Custom House Square parking garage at 25 Pearl Street for $5.00/hour.

Q: May I bring my dog?
A: Well behaved pups are welcome to join the tour if we are given notice, Please note in your booking if you’re bringing your fur baby with you

Q: How far is the starting point of the tour from where the cruise ships dock?
A: Approx. a 10 – 15 minute walk and the tour ends closer to where the cruise ships disembark.

Q: What is your policy on canceling tours?
A: Tours run rain, snow and shine.

With tour insurance: To cancel your tour tickets you must purchase our tour insurance for $5.99 per ticket. This allows you to cancel your tickets for any reason up to 24 hours prior to the start time of the tour and receive a refund for the cost of the tickets minus the booking fee and insurance.
Without tour insurance: If you do not purchase the tour insurance you have up to 24 hours prior to the start time of the tour to cancel and receive a gift certificate for future use.
Within 24 hours: We don’t extend refunds or gift certificates within 24 hours of the start time of the tour.
